Nýdoktorastyrkir Rannsóknasjóðs – Auglýsing

Vísindanefnd háskólaráðs auglýsir styrki sem ætlaðir eru nýdoktorum

(post-docs) í starfi við Háskóla Íslands. Til nýdoktora teljast þeir sem lokið hafa doktorsverkefni sl. fimm ár.

Styrkhæfir eru nýdoktorar sem eru verkefnaráðnir tímabundið til að leggja stund á rannsóknir við Háskóla Íslands eða stofnanir í tengslum við hann.

Styrkþega er heimilt að verja styrk til eigin launa eða annars kostnaðar við rannsóknir sínar. Hver styrkur verður að hámarki 300 þkr.

Styrkir til nýdoktora eru hluti 10 milljóna króna viðbótarfjárveitingar rektors Háskóla Íslands til Rannsóknasjóðs Háskólans á árinu 2007 til stuðnings rannsóknanámi og nýdoktorum við Háskólann.

Við mat á umsóknum er litið til gæða verkefnis umsækjanda út frá vísindalegu gildi þess og rannsóknaráætlun. Ennfremur er ritvirkni umsækjanda metin og umfang starfa hans við Háskólann. Með umsókn þarf að fylgja staðfesting, frá deild eða stofnun, á að umsækjandi njóti fullnægjandi aðstöðu við Háskólann til þeirra rannsókna, sem hann hyggst stunda.

Umsóknafrestur er til 1. mars nk.

University of Iceland Research Fund Grants for Post-docs.

The University Council’s Science Committee advertises applications for post –docpostdoctoral grants for post-docs working at the University. To qualify, applicants have to havemust have opptained received their Ph.D.Phd in the last five years. within the last five years.

Qualified are post-docsPost docs who are, appointed periodically for research at the University of Iceland or connected affiliated institutions, qualify for the grant. Awarded gGrants awarded are intended for paying salaries or other costs regarding the applicants’ research. The maximum amount per grant is 300 000 ISK.

These grants are a part of the 10 million ISK support for post-graduates and post-docs,as decided by the university rector decided for the financial year of 2007.

Applications will be evaluated for the researchaccording to the projects’

scientific value and it’s research plans. Also, tThe applicants’

publication records will also be evalueated, as will the applicants’

research work in general at the University. Attached to the application should be aA statement from the faculty or institution regarding the applicants’ resources for the research project which he/she applies for, should be enclosed..
